SoftMaker FreeOffice is an office suite that has good compatibility with Microsoft Office application file formats and provides most of its functions and features.
This is one of the best free alternative offices that is not inferior in functionality.
It includes:
- TextMaker - text editor (Word)
- PlanMaker - calculations, spreadsheets and charts (Excel)
- Presentations - presentation creation (Power Point)
It has a user interface in two versions: either an interface with modern ribbons like in MS Office 365, or a classic menu and toolbars like in MS Office 2003.
If you have a computer with a touch screen, you can switch to Touch Mode, which provides larger icons and increased spacing between user interface elements. The new Touch Mode is available with both ribbons and the classic menu-based user interface.
