UALinux Secured*Pack 22.04 "Ubuntu*Pack 22.04 (protected)" has been updated - a system for minimizing security risks and protecting against cyber threats for workstations and servers, which has a positive expert opinion from the SSSCIP of Ukraine and is included in the list of technical information protection tools approved for ensuring technical protection of state information resources and information.
What's in it:
- is based on the Ubuntu*Pack 22.04 distribution and contains all its updates as of July 2025;
- removed from the system: viber, telegram, zoom, snapd, flatpak, torbrowser, wine, telnet
- and added:
- intrusion detection system;
- monitoring and recording of system events in real time;
- management of security policies for mandatory application access control;
- a tool for assessing the system's compliance with security standards;
- management of encrypted directories;
- protection against malicious USB devices (management of access policies for any USB devices);
- user authentication using USB devices;
- authentication of users in the system using cryptographic tokens (smart cards, USB keys with secure storage or e-passports). - the system has already included some of the requirements based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard, the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) configuration standard for ensuring the security of hardware and software in the information systems of the US Department of Defense, and the recommendations of the International Center for Internet Security (CIS 1.2);
- a script has been added to check the system configuration to meet all of the above security requirements with the generation of a full HTML report containing recommendations for additional actions to configure the system security if necessary;
and other changes.
